To improve spectral efficiency in wireless communications, spatial modulation (also known as information-guided channel hopping) is recently proposed as a candidate approach with multi-antenna configuration. This approach aims to increase the data rate of a system without increasing the bandwidth requirements. Moreover, it requires only a single radio-frequency chain while achieving higher energy efficiency than other multi-antenna approaches.
Dr. Yuli Yang is one of the pioneers who proposed the concept of spatial modulation. This presentation introduces her researches on the fundamental, capacity analysis and applications of spatial modulation.
