This seminar will look at progress made in year three of Lee Beever’s PhD on Mixed Reality for Level Design Workflows. Lee will present further work on his LevelEd VR application and workflow along with results from the most recent user study.

Speaker's Bio

Lee Beever completed his first degree at University of Chester in Games Development. Lee was then part of the team that was tasked with updating and redesigning the games development program to meet the needs of the games industry. Lee has been teaching in FE and HE since he graduated in 2012. Lee is studying for an MPhil/PhD within the computer science department exploring mixed reality for level design workflows.

Lee enjoys working on personal game development projects in his spare time as well as running and taking part in game jams. He is part of a Community Development Team who continue to work on and update the successful Dungeon Defenders game. When not working on games, Lee is a keen gamer and enjoys playing games of varying genres and on a number of different platforms such as the PC, consoles and iOS. Lee is also keen sportsman who enjoys running, hiking and bouldering.
